General Membership Meeting
March 27, 2007

The meeting was called to order
by President Karen Heun at
7:05p.m. at the KEC.
Old Business
Bowl with the Storm- Not able to
do due to the weather delay of
the Ohio game- not able to
reschedule
Treasurers Report
Paula reported that we now bank
with Town & Country Bank instead
of Kearney State Bank as they
have no fee checking. She gave
us 2 reports one from KSB we had
a starting balance of $665.63
with $130.25 in deposits from
button sales and memberships and
$795.88 in expenses from
printing, bowling refunds,
postage, bus treats, cash out to
start our T & C account the
closing of our KSB account and
cash for banquet ticket sales.
The 2nd report was from the T &
C account we had $1,564.40 in
deposits from button sales, the
banquet, starting the new
account and the money left from
closing the old account, and our
expenses totalled $105.76 from
bus treats giving us an ending
total of $1458.64.
Membership Update
We had one new family membership
bringing us to a total of 47
paid members now.
Projects
Treats- All still going well
Player Buttons- We still need
more people to sign up to work
the booth.
Player Appreciation Banquet-
April 1st, 2007- have so far
approximately 77 adults and 8
children paid for. All the
players but Patrick White will
be in attendance. Coach will be
handing out the awards this year
and Bill Boyer will be the MC
again, and Karen will hand out
the Peoples Choice Player Award.
Many good door prizes will be
awarded along with again this
year an autographed button
display board.
Nominating Committee- Betty
Smith, Angela Flies, and
Jennifer Turek will be the
nominating committee. After the
awards banquet is completed they
will split up the membership
list and call to find nominees
for next years board. In
locating nominees those that are
on the nominating committee are
not allowed to run for an board
position according to the
bylaws. Also spouses are not
allowed to be board members
together.
Misc. Items
Playoffs- Round 1-best of seven
series. Round 2- round robin
series Round 3- USHL final four
May Meeting- Planning on having
another end of the year
appreciation meal. Will vote for
new board members- Looking to
have perhaps the 2nd week of
May??
